Sir Ken Robinson Video

This video really made me think about how often the school system limit our creativity. I thought that something very interesting he brought up was that a famous choreographer at one point was said that she had a learning disorder because she could not sit still. He said that now, in our times she would have been diagnosed with ADHD and never become an amazing dancer. I think that it is awful to think about how now a days people who show creativity are sometimes considered abnormal. And in reality they have amazing talents that make them who they are. Also in his talk he used humor a lot to engage the audience which i enjoyed. He made me laugh and he used him humor to make his points. I think that he addressed an issue that is often very overlooked. I never once have thought about how my school directly effects my creativity. But I no longer use drawing and painting in my everyday life, like I did in Kindergarten. The school district does try to grow us out of our creativity because they believe that the only way i can be successful is if I work behind a desk in a cubicle. Over all I agreed with most of what he had to say and I am happy he is passionate about this subject.
